Who we are

We are a couple of educators in New Orleans who have a passion for Mardi Gras, Artistry, and the Environment. We started Stinky Science as a way to help reduce the Fossil Fuel Pollution in our direct and fragile community while celebrating the culture and art of our beautiful city.

  • Rahn Broady

    Owner

As a lifelong educator and born environmentalist, Rahn is excited to venture into something that he’s been advocating with students for years. As a kid, he has watched the world of rapid sprawl and development fold into the natural landscape, eradication our resources and the habitats of several species. Being part of a unit that wishes to directly impact the waves of environmental apathy and distress is pretty much a dream come true.

  • Jimmy Luttrell

    Owner

Born in New Orleans and raised on the bayou in Slidell, La by a craftsman and an artist. Jimmy Luttrell was born and reared with a love for the environment and all things beautiful. For years he has been passionate about Mardi Gras, building elaborate costumes and floats. Helping to create Stinky Science is just a small way of helping to change the culture he loves into one that isn’t as destructive to the environment.
